About Mind Lab
Mind Lab learning through fun

Watch children playing board games with each other, running a three legged race or playing football - they're not only having fun but also learning cooperation, teamwork, role clarity, strategy and tactics.ot by forc shall the youth learn, but through play. Plato

At the heart of Mind Lab is the belief that the most productive way of learning is through fun and hands-on experience and that game playing provides the perfect tool. However, today's busy lifestyles and passive entertainment from computer games, television and automated toys often leaves little time for our children to develop key social, emotional and thinking skills through active face to face interaction with their friends and peers.

Mind Lab uses carefully selected board games from around the world as a tool to engage and teach children effective thinking together with social and emotional intelligence. The children experience the difference that these newly learnt skills make to their game playing and then learn, and are motivated, to apply these new skills to all aspects of life itself. The Mind Lab curriculum helps children develop:

thinking skills
social skills
emotional intelligence

Most importantly, Mind Lab shows children how to use these skills at home with their family, with their friends, in their communities and in their classes at school - helping them to improve scholastically, build better personal relationships, relate to and cooperate with others and learn how to tackle life's problems and challenges.

My daughter is quite a rigid, black and white person. Since starting Mind Lab sessions I have noticed that she is becoming more flexible and better at problem solving in the home situation - such as confrontations, with me or her sisters, and homework.
