MindLab International

In addition to the many benefits of Mind Lab’s enriching curriculum, schools can also benefit from the following projects associated with Mind Lab.

Community building – parent/child game playing evenings each term to get families involved in Mind Lab and more involved in school life.

Shared Learning – a Mind Lab board or corner with Mind Lab posters of Thinking Skills, brain teasers and puzzles, Mind Lab award winners and Olympic champions.

Social skills and leadership – a small rotating library of Mind Lab games for the children to play during break time. Mind Lab monitors will be awarded with the honour of helping with the rules and managing the games.

Academic – our teachers will provide regular reports to share with you and your teachers about what each class has covered and how each student is progressing so you can integrate that into the school classes, and the individual child's development in other subjects.

A half day teacher training for all the schools teachers to benefit from Mind Lab’s innovative educational approach.

Values – Mind Lab can be easily integrated into PSHE, there are endless opportunities in Mind Lab for discussion around tolerance, empathy, self-responsibility, responsibility for your actions and winning and losing gracefully, for example.

Multiple intelligences – children who may not excel in traditional classroom topics will find their niche to shine in Mind Lab, whether that be in spatial awareness, strategy, or social intelligence. Growth in self-confidence is consistently mentioned by parents of Mind Lab pupils, as something they have observed in their child.

Inclusion – Mind Lab helps pupils with learning challenges without segregating them for special assistance or tutoring.

Positive Recognition – the Mind Lab Olympics is a hugely motivating for pupils and gives them the opportunity to put into place the thinking skills and strategies, as well as the emotional intelligence skills they have been learning.
